Gathering Dragons
Cheryl French, the local artist who has helped out with the Foundation Art Projects at the Carnegie Branch, is currently gathering dragons into the main branch to decorate intersecting walls in the tween area of the young people’s section.
The dragons are accompanied by colorful, swirling nebula and star formations.
The artist has been working on the interior wall mural Sundays and Mondays when the main branch is closed. You can see the work in progress now. The final should be completed before winter. You can meet Cheryl (without dragons) at the Carnegie branch October 25th (11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) when she presents the Foundation’s next art program – a hands-on leaf printing session for all ages.
Meanwhile, the dragons at the main branch appear to be enjoying their new surroundings.
