Ready for the Holidays

The Carnegie Library now sports seasonal decorations, including a Santa hat for Shakespeare and two giant wreaths out front.
There are many, many poinsettias on tables and desks and there are fresh garlands above both fireplaces and on top of the bookshelves behind and to the right of the check-out desk. There are beads along the side of the stairs and more flower downstairs. The old building is ready to welcome visitors during the weeks before the holidays and during the Parlor Tour on Sunday, December 14.
The decorations were provided by the Albany Public Library Foundation. The work was done by Cheryl and by Greg who can be seen in two of the pictures.
The fireplace on the south side of the building will boast its annual fire during the December 14 Parlor Tour. A rocking chair will be put to use for professional readings of The Visit of Saint Nicholas, better known as The Night Before Christmas. The Carnegie will have a good time this season.
