Celebrate the restoration of Saturday hours at the Carnegie

with a colorful leaf-printing party, October 25
Good news: the library is re-opening the Carnegie branch on Saturdays beginning in mid-October. It is projected to be open 10 to 1 every Saturday from that point on. The Albany Public Library Foundation welcomes the re-openings and hopes for more library hours in the future.
To celebrate Saturdays at the Carnegie, the Albany Public Library Foundation is presenting a free, all ages, leaf printing art event Saturday, October 25, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (drop-in).
Leaf printing involves inking a background plate and a leaf (or leaves) and putting the combination through a small hand press. The results are stunning. All the necessary materials including a variety of leaves will be supplied for free – although bringing your own favorite leaf selection is encouraged. The press and ink will be supplied as well. The event is open to all.
