Each Saturday in August you are invited to join us at the Carnegie Library Branch for some hands on fun. The Albany Public Library Foundation present four opportunities to experience the arts, through music, painting ,and sculpting. All ages are welcome to attend these events, and materials will be provided.

AUGUST 2 (drop-in, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm)

Musical Instrument Petting Zoo!

Try a variety of musical instruments such as guitar, violin, cello, keyboard, hammered dulcimer, whistles and more.

 

AUGUST 9 (drop-in, 11:00 am to 12:30)

Fun with Watercolors  – Hands-on

Introduction to watercolors and a variety of special techniques.  All materials provided.  For everyone who thought they might like to make watercolors.

 

AUGUST 16 (drop-in, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm)

Sculpture – Hands-on – No experience necessary

Create small sculptures (with expert assistance) with clay that can be baked at home later.  All ages.  All materials provided.

 

AUGUST 23 (11:00 am to 12:00 pm)

Albany Youth Orchestra

Short performance, demonstration of stringed instruments, hands-on supervised playing.
